Technology PR agency Stone Junction has been appointed by voltage optimisation specialist Powerdown220 to manage its rebranding process, including a new logo and brand guidelines, and launch its new website. The firm will also handle the Powerdown220’s ongoing media relations and social media activity.

This new and exciting partnership was prompted by the CIPR and PRCA award winning technology PR business’ proven track record with a multitude of tech businesses across various specialisms. The campaign kicks off with rebranding Powerdown220 following a branding workshop hosted by the Stone Junction’s in-house design team at the agency’s new headquarters in the heart of Stafford, UK.

Powerdown220 supplies voltage optimisation equipment and offers services encompassing installation, maintenance and management of voltage optimisers. This has resulted in substantial energy cost savings and signification reductions in carbon footprints for some of the UK’s biggest names, with the average customer saving between eight and twelve per cent on energy bills.

Powerdown220’s rollout of voltage optimisation technology across pub giant, Mitchells & Butlers’ sites was the largest project of its kind in UK history, helping secure the company’s status as the UK’s leading voltage optimisation specialist.

"In today's energy climate, Powerdown220 is exactly the kind of business that we want to help market," remarked Jessica Phillips, shareholder and director of agency brand at Stone Junction. "It is dedicated to helping businesses reduce their energy bills, which not only helps them financially, but also helps reduce their impact on the environment — something that we're extremely passionate about at Stone Junction."

‘‘Before deciding to work with Stone Junction, we looked at a range of options,’’ recalled Powerdown220 founder Stuart Hawkwood. ‘‘Stone Junction was active in our sector and came with innovative ideas. We could clearly see they had researched and understood our business and our marketplace more thoroughly than their competitors.’’

‘‘Stone Junction offered us a bespoke package that was tailored to our needs,’’ explained James Goodby, director at Powerdown220.  ‘‘We’ve already established a close relationship with their team and are looking forward to what the next year will bring.’’

Powerdown220 joins a growing portfolio of clients for the tech PR company, including WEG, Renishaw and Sandvik Coromant, with thousands of employees globally.

The new account will be managed by Dr. Phil Morgan, an account manager at Stone Junction and holder of a PhD in International Politics. He will be supported by a team including former PRCA professional of the year Jessica Phillips and ex-journalist Matt Perry.
